Brendan Costello
Brendan Costello teaches Creative Writing at the City College of New York, where he earned his MFA and also won the Irwin and Alice Stark Short Story Award. His work has appeared in epiphany magazine, smokebox.net, and Salon.com. He is also one of the organizers of the City College MFA reading series here at Bar 82 -- their next event will be February 17th.
Joyce Hanson
Joyce Hanson is a Brooklyn writer who's going to read a couple of stories about the wilds of North and South Dakota. One story was written by her dad about his Dust Bowl Great Depression childhood days. The other story comes from Joyce's novel in progress, which uses her research about rebelliouswomen in history. Matt Grasso
Matt is the host of Fahrenheit, a monthly open mic series located in the East Village. He completed a fellowship at The MacDowell Colony in 2011 and is currently wrapping up his first collection of short stories. His nine-to-five credentials comprise work in the fields of Industrial and Exhibit Design.
